The James Bond Roulette Strategy – Pays More With French Roulette

James Bond 007“Bond, James Bond”. That is what you reply when someone asks you what system you’re playing. It will not always win, but when it does “it impresses”.

The James Bond roulette betting system is really quite easy to play because it consists of only three bets. Overall, you will win two out of three times because you are covering two thirds of the numbers on the roulette table.

In fact, you’re covering a little more than two-thirds because it also includes the zero.

See how easy it is to play roulette and find out which version will pay out the most. There is a difference!

How To Play The James Bond Roulette Strategy

James Bond Roulette Strategy

  • On each spin you are wagering 20 betting units. Each bet unit can be whatever amount you desire.
    1. For example if your bet unit is $1, your first bet is $14 on the high numbers 19-36
    2. Your second bet is $5 on the line 13-18.
    3. Your third bet is $1 on zero.
  • Wins
    • If your first bet wins, you will net $8
    • If your second bet wins, you will net $10
    • If your 3rd bet wins, you will net $16 with European Roulette plus another $7 when playing French Roulette.
    • After every win, start over and bet 20 units again.
  • Losses – If you lose, you will double your bets until you win.

The last step that calls for doubling your bets on losses is optional. If you are attempting to follow that rule, be sure that the betting table limit is very high.

For losses, some people prefer to- stick to doubling losses up to 7 times. Either way, that Martingale negative progression add-on can get expensive.

Numbers # Units Bets
High Numbers Bet 19 to 36 18 14
Line Bet 13 to 18 6 5
Zero Bet 0 1 1
Others 1 to 12 12 0
Total 37 20

A Secret Agents Trick

James Bond Diamonds Are ForeverMost people play the James Bond Roulette Strategy with European Roulette. But you should know that this strategy works a little better when playing French Roulette. When the ball lands on zero in European Roulette, players net 16 betting units because the zero pays out at 35 to 1.

However, in French Roulette players would also get back half of their even money bet because of the La Partage Rule. This results in an added payout of 7 betting units for a total net of 23 betting units.

In other words, with French Roulette players get the highest payout when the ball lands on zero.

This also occurs in European Roulette, but only when you are playing the Hamburg variant such as with the Betsoft version. At the, BetOnline, select the 2nd European Roulette game on their list to play and you will get the right version.

Profit On the Zero Bet

Zero Bet High Numbers Total Profit
European Roulette $16 $0 $16
European Roulette with Hamburg Variant $16 $7 $23
French Roulette $16 $7 $23

James Bond Roulette Strategy Variants

James Bond VariantsIt is also quite easy to play a variation of the classic James Bond Roulette Strategy. Player can simply switch around the standard bets and get the same results for different numbers.

  • With $1 bet units, place a $14 bet on the low numbers 1-18 instead of the high number.
  • Place a $5 bet on the 6 line 19-24, 25-30 or the 31-36 instead of 13-18.
  • Continue to place a $1 bet on zero.

In French Roulette, you still win $8 if the low numbers bet win, $10 if the line bet wins and $23 if the zero wins. Each loss remain at multiples of $20.

Betting Units

The James Bond Roulette Strategy consists of 20 betting units which are utilized as follows.

  • 14 units on the high number bet
  • 5 units on a line bet
  • 1 unit on the zero

In our example above, we use $1 as the betting unit for a total at risk bet of $20 per spin. That is great for mere mortals such as us. But do you think that debonair James Bond would play with such low stakes? I THINK NOT!

A suave agent of her Majesty’s Secret Service wouldn’t be caught dead betting $20. We might amp that bet up to $200. But if he wanted to impress the ladies or get the attention of criminal masterminds, you know the bet would be at least $20,000.

Regardless of the value of each bet unit, the ratio of units to bet type must be retained.

Bet Payouts

In this bet strategy, each of the three bets pays out at a different rate.

  1. High Numbers – If one of the 18 numbers wins, then the high numbers bet payouts even money at a rate of 1 to 1
  2. Line Bet – If one of the six numbers wins, this bet will pay out at 5 to 1.
  3. Straight Up Bet on Zero – Pays out a rate of 35 to 1

With only one bet unit assigned to the zero bet, it is easy to see that this bet acts as a type of insurance. But it still remains a vital part of the strategy. Do not try to save the bet or switch it elsewhere. It is an integral part of the overall win system. It also generate the most profit.

The line bet receives only one fourth of all the bet units. But with a higher payout ratio, this bet is also critical to the success of the entire strategy.

The high numbers bet receives almost three fourths of the betting units and covers twice as many numbers as the line bet. Even though it pays out at the lowest rate, it is likely to be the one bet that wins most of the time.

American vs European and French Roulette

As a Brit, James Bond would never be caught playing American Roulette. Even though it has a double 0, the house edge is higher and your profits will be less. It might seem lucky for a 007 to play a game with a 00, but it will not beat out the math.

Like every gambling system, this one can win in the short term but will always lose over the long term.

Tip: The best plan of attack is to win and then quit. Just like a spy, you will live to play another day.
